We work both directly and indirectly with businesses across Northern Ireland.

Our approach to supporting businesses is based on three key elements:

• Providing information and advice; directly and through a range of information services
• Providing support to people wanting to set up their own business that can sell into markets outside Northern Ireland, and helping new and existing businesses grow and move into new external markets
• Providing tailored support to businesses in Northern Ireland that can make the greatest contribution to increasing productivity, innovation and export growth.

Our resources are limited, so we focus on those businesses that can make the biggest contribution to the economy.

If your business intends to sell outside Northern Ireland, is actively pursuing growth plans and will contribute to increasing productivity and innovation in Northern Ireland, you could become an Invest NI client.

It will need to meet certain criteria such volume of sales outside of Northern Ireland and growth potential.

If your business meets the criteria, we will engage with you on a 1-1 basis. However, if it doesn’t meet the criteria, we can still provide help and advice through our Business Support team and nibusinessinfo.co.uk as well as a range of other programmes such as Innovation Vouchers and Technical Consultancy.
